Falling Walls Lab Indonesia 2025 at PCU, Surabaya – Introducing the 20 Finalists
The Falling Walls Lab Indonesia 2025 is proud to announce the 22 finalists who have been selected to present their groundbreaking ideas at this year’s competition. Each finalist brings forward a unique and innovative approach to breaking down significant global barriers.
Among the finalists is Alfi Arif from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), who will present “Breaking the Wall of Cybercriminal Minds”, and Alfred Susanto from Sampoerna University, with his work on “Breaking the Walls of Unrecyclable Plastics.” Alvian Wardhana of Literasi Anak Banua will discuss “Breaking the Wall of Exclusion: The Untapped Power of Education for Indigenous Peoples,” while Ayu Putri Gitanjali Prayudani from IPB University takes on “Breaking the Wall of Dietary Fiber Gap.”
Other notable participants include Ayu Sulistya Putri Sugeng from Universitas Paramadina Indonesia with “Breaking the Wall of Good Wife Myth and Abuse,” and Bryan Akthur Alexander from Universitas Indonesia who will address “Breaking the Wall of Uninformed Consumption.” Eugene Dearuli Marissanti Tindaon of Universitas Diponegoro will present “Breaking the Wall of Dehumanization in Gig Workers,” and Fadhilah Trya Wulandari from Sulapa Institute will explore “Breaking the Wall of Climate Injustice for People with Disabilities.”
Fajar Hamzah from IPB University will share “Breaking the Wall of Fossil-Based Fertiliser,” while Feizya Musaddiq of Bogor Agricultural Universityaddresses “Breaking the Wall of Wasted and Contaminated Food.” Lulu Farhan will focus on “Breaking the Wall of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education,” and M. Fahrur Rozy Hentihu from Universitas Jember will bring his unique perspective to the competition about “Breaking the Wal of 3D Print Tech Disparity.”
From abroad, Maulana Antiyan Empitu from Universitas Airlangga will present “Breaking the Wall of Incurable Kidney Failure.” Muhammad Iqna Supriatna from Brawijaya University will discuss “Breaking the Wall of New Antimalarial Leads,” and Nudia Aufia from Institut Teknologi Bandung will showcase “Breaking the Wall of Post-Mining Restoration.”
Pradipa P. Rasidi from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, will address “Breaking the Wall of Youth Digital Exclusion,” and Rachmat Oting of Religious Moderation and Human Resources Development Agency of Ministry of Religious Affairswill present “Breaking the Wall of Course Access Exclusivity.” Resda Syahrani from the Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI) will share “Breaking the Wall of Breast Cancer Treatment,” while Samintang of Climate Catalysts (CC) will discuss “Breaking the Wall of Injustice with Climate Education for All.”
Completing the list, Yogi Putranto from Ministry of Marine and Fisheries Affairs will present “Breaking the Wall of Wasted Beauty,” and Zakiul Fuady of Yayasan Ekosistem Lestari, Germany, will close with “Breaking the Wall of Disaster Information Inaccessibility.”
The winner of the Falling Walls Lab Indonesia 2025 will earn the prestigious opportunity to present their breakthrough idea at the global Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin, representing Indonesia on the international stage.
