In 2025, DAAD Indonesia proudly celebrates 35 years of fostering academic exchange, supporting Indonesian students and researchers in pursuing education in Germany, and strengthening the ties between Indonesia and Germany in the field of higher education.

For more than three decades, DAAD Indonesia has been a bridge connecting Indonesia and Germany through knowledge, collaboration, and friendship. Since awarding the first scholarships to Indonesian students in 1952, DAAD has helped thousands of scholars embark on transformative academic journeys, fostering not only personal growth but also stronger international cooperation.

This milestone is not just about numbers, it is about the lives changed, the partnerships built, and the lasting impact of education. To honor this incredible journey, we invite you to walk through the history of DAAD, from its early beginnings to the present day, through our 35th Anniversary E-Book.
