FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) - Call For Proposals – SHARE Peer Multiplier Training (PMT)

I work as strategic development officer in my university. Am I eligible to apply as ‘project coordinator’?
Yes, you are eligible to apply.

I am a Higher Education consultant and would like to submit an application/proposal for a joint project between multiple universities and ministerial bodies. Can I apply as project coordinator?
In principle, joint projects between several institutions are possible, if the lead institution is a HEI (university). Please kindly be informed that only staff of HEIs are eligible to be project coordinators and to attend the Peer Multiplier Training. In order for the joint project proposal to be eligible, please kindly indicate the lead institution in the proposal. Please note the following eligibility criteria:

  1. The lead institution is a HEI (university): for example, if there are 2 universities and 2 Higher Education bodies (ministerial or otherwise) implementing the project, the lead institution should be one of the universities involved.
  2. The project coordinator(s) is/are from the lead institution (university).
  3. The letter of support (with signature and stamp) comes from the leadership of the lead institution.

Will the Peer Multiplier Training be conducted by SHARE or do the applying project coordinators have to conduct the PMT in June 2022?
The Peer Multiplier Training will be conducted and hosted by SHARE in June 2022. It is planned as a hybrid event, and the exact format will depend on the Covid-19 situation towards then.

Does the (max.) EUR 8,000 funding include budget/expenses to attend the PMT on-site?
The (max.) EUR 8,000 funding is dedicated for the implementation of the proposed dissemination project. Should your project proposal be selected and the project coordinators choose to attend the PMT on-site, SHARE will additionally cover the budget for the on-site attendance of the person(s) indicated in the proposal as project coordinator(s). Please kindly note that the format of the PMT (either fully online or hybrid) will depend on the Covid-19 situation in the coming months.

Could SHARE advise how many participants we can include in the (max.) EUR 8,000 budget?
This is entirely up to the project coordinator(s) to decide.

Can I propose a dissemination project that takes place fully online?
It will not be a problem to propose a dissemination project that takes place fully online.

Is it mandatory to employ the training methods that we will learn in the PMT in our proposed dissemination project?
It is up to the applicants to decide which methods they would like to use for implementing the dissemination project (be it a training, workshop, seminar, etc). The PMT provides project coordinators with training on how to apply certain techniques/methods in the implementation of their dissemination project—whether these will eventually be used by the project coordinators in the implementation of their proposed projects, is up to the latter to decide.

If our project proposal is selected, when can we start implementing the project?
The starting date for the implementation of the proposed project is completely up to the discretion of the project coordinator(s). It can start either before the PMT (for example, directly after the project proposal is selected) or after the PMT is completed.

Should the topic of the proposed project be selected during the PMT, or would the topic for implementation be based on the (accepted) proposal?
The topic of the proposed project for implementation is the topic indicated in the (accepted) proposal. Applicants are free to determine the topic of their proposed project, in so far as it covers one (or more) of the general areas / themes below:

  • Qualifications Frameworks
  • Quality Assurance
  • Higher Education Management
  • Learning outcomes / Outcome-Based Education (OBE)
  •  Internationalisation
  • Student and academic staff mobility
  • Degree/course/credential recognition

If my proposal is unsuccessful for funding, can my proposal be considered and reviewed for joining the training programme only
Yes, your proposal can also be considered and reviewed for joining the training only.

If my proposal is selected, would I be allowed to add a partner institution at a later date in the future? Would it be allowed to change the project coordinator or indicate a substitute coordinator?
As selected applicants are required to implement their projects by this year, we would like to advise keeping the project in line with the proposal submitted at the time of the application and training to avoid delays in delivery (this is especially crucial when the project is selected for funding). Furthermore, the final report of the implemented project needs to demonstrate that the project has been carried out, as closely as possible according to the submitted proposal.
In short, should you like to include a partner institution in your proposal, we would like to suggest indicating the partner institution in the proposal and to indicate 2 (two) project coordinators, in case one coordinator needs to withdraw from the project for any reason in the future.

How long would SHARE provide my project with in-between consultation sessions during the implementation period of my project? What is the duration of these meetings?
After the PMT is completed, the selected projects are given the opportunity to consult with SHARE experts during the project implementation period. Whether or not these consultations are required will be up to the project coordinator(s) to decide. The length and topic of the consultative meeting(s) will be tailored based on the specific needs indicated by the project coordinator(s).
